Visible Voicemail & Message Backup Guide

If you're leaving Visible, back up your important messages and voicemails first. Here's how to save your data before switching carriers.

Voicemail Backup

Open Phone App

Open the Phone app and tap the Voicemail tab.

Select Voicemail

Tap a voicemail message you want to save.

Share and Save

Tap Share → Save to Files or Google Drive.

Repeat for All

Repeat this process for each voicemail you want to keep.

Text Message Backup

Google One Backup (Android)

  • • Go to Settings → Google → Backup
  • • Turn on "SMS messages"
  • • Tap "Back up now"
  • • Messages sync to your Google account

Third-Party Apps

  • • SMS Backup & Restore (Android)
  • • iMazing (iPhone)
  • • 3uTools (iPhone)
  • • Export to XML, CSV, or PDF

iPhone Message Backup

iCloud Backup

Your messages are automatically backed up to iCloud if enabled:

  • • Go to Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud
  • • Turn on "Messages"
  • • Messages sync across all your Apple devices

Manual Export

For individual conversations:

  • • Open Messages app
  • • Long-press important messages
  • • Tap "More" → Select messages → Share
  • • Save to Files or email to yourself

Important Notes

⚠️ Act quickly: Your voicemails and texts are deleted once your account closes.

⚠️ No automatic transfer: Messages don't transfer to your new carrier automatically.

⚠️ Storage space: Make sure you have enough storage for backups.

⚠️ Test restores: Verify you can access backed-up data before canceling.
