Most Google Fi phones are locked for 120 days after purchase to prevent fraud. Here's how to unlock them for use on other carriers.

Requirements

Active for 120 days on Fi

Account in good standing

Device not reported lost or stolen

All device payments completed (if financed)

Unlock Process

Automatic Unlock

After 120 days, your device unlocks automatically.

Manual Request (if needed)

If not automatically unlocked, contact Google Fi Support → Chat → Unlock Request.

You'll receive confirmation within 24 hours.
