Mint Mobile SIM & eSIM Activation Troubleshooting

Activation problems are common but easy to fix. Here's how to get your Mint Mobile service working.

Activation Steps

Visit Activation Site

Visit mintmobile.com/activate.

Enter SIM Details

Enter your 11-digit SIM number or scan your eSIM QR code.

Restart Device

Restart your device once activation completes.

Common Fixes

Check for Carrier Lock

Check for carrier lock on your phone. Mint Mobile requires an unlocked GSM device.

Disable VPNs

Disable VPNs during activation. They can interfere with the activation process.

eSIM Issues

If eSIM fails, delete the profile and re-scan the QR code. Go to Settings → Cellular → Delete eSIM.

Network Settings Reset

Reset network settings if you're still having issues. This clears old carrier configurations.

Troubleshooting by Issue

No Service/Signal

  • • Check if your device is unlocked
  • • Verify SIM is properly inserted
  • • Restart your phone
  • • Check T-Mobile coverage in your area

Data Not Working

  • • Enable mobile data in settings
  • • Check APN settings (usually automatic)
  • • Turn airplane mode on/off

Can't Make Calls

  • • Ensure you have signal bars

  • • Try calling from a different location

  • • Ensure device supports eSIM
